Gina & Chris

March 30, 2009

On Fire!

It was my pleasure to spend the day with Gina and Chris. As is common, they were a bit nervous at first. But after we settled in, they quickly gave up some amazing shots. I think these two may have re-defined what it means to have “chemistry”. They can sure cook up some major heat. Here are a few of my favorites.

Meet Grace

March 28, 2009

Meet Grace.
Grace is giving me her best stink eye!
I don’t think I deserve it but in her book … I’m potential trouble.
Grace’s papa, Scott is a hard working hero. He starts early, has recently cut his rates to get hired and then gives the same service in spite of the situation. Situation? “It’s the ecomony stupid!” And for many hard working Americans it’s a pain too.
Scott is a carpenter in California (you know where a bunch of housing starts have been down) which means there is a whole lot less work these days and the competition to get what’s left is fierce.
For Scott, everything happening around him has been tempered by his outlook. He trusts in his God and looks forward to time with his wife and his little angel Grace.
Grace doesn’t care to much about me but oh, how she loves her papa. She doesn’t care much about the economy either and fortunately for her, her papa lives a frugal lifestyle. Grace and her family are going to be fine.
My heart goes out to all those unsung heros of California who every day pick up their bags and head off to a long day of tough times. Here is to them and their angels.
Thank you!

Amber & Steve Helmace

March 22, 2009

March 14th was looking pretty cold and rainy but the clouds moved aside and the sun came out in all it’s glory for Amber & Steve’s amazing wedding. There is always an opportunity for chaos at a wedding but all was smooth sailing thanks to Aubrey of Cypress Ridge.

Here's lookin' at you kid!
One of the most amazing aspects of this wedding was the “family ties” that could be felt and seen. Each toast created more tears of joy and made for some foggy lenses! A big thanks to my two assistants Chris Ortega and my son Reuben. They made this day all that more special.
Thank you especially to Amber & Steve for a fantastic day and experience. You guys make an awesome pair and I know that your love is going to be infectious wherever you go!

Amber & Steve

March 1, 2009

With the wedding just around the corner, and the weather looking unpredictable, you’d think these folks would be stressin’ and creating havoc but not Amber & Steve. Their laid back attitude really makes the difference. Although I know we’ll have sunny skies on their big day; even if we don’t, the love that pours from these two will fill the room with joy!
