There are three subjects that get my attention, (1) Weddings, (2) Surfing & (3) Concerts. I’ve recently began covering local bands and pasting them here but Sunday night I found myself in front of an artist I’ve never heard of. GMA’s reigning Female Vocalist of the Year for two consecutive years. Natalie Grant is an amazing vocalist and I guess I spend a lot of my time under a rock! She and her band did two shows which may not have been full to capacity, but if you didn’t go – you missed out. Thanks to Tom Kefurry of the California Mid State Fair for the access. Local raggae band Resination took center stage in Templeton recently for the “Concerts in the Park” series that runs each summer. The weather was killer, and the band was helping everyone get their groove on. It was a perfect evening for the whole family. Crowds have been getting larger each year and a band like Resination just makes the event that much better. For a mini show look here.

I was so fortuante, nah, blessed to meet the dynamic duo of Rod and Audrey. We met through Mondo Cellars where Rod tends to everything bed & breakfast. Audrey is a stay at home singing dynamo. My pal Kieth Powers (the guitarist) and I knew we’d found someone special right from the beginning. Audrey has such a great range and is one of the nicest people you could hope to work with. Audiences love Audrey’s voice and this girl is no gyrating dancing machine – she let’s her singing do the talking. I’m very proud to be associated with Shades of Gray. A local musician who I stumbled upon the other night. Check out his site for more info and upcoming performances. Rob is an award winning writer and performer. And a proud local. Be sure to catch him soon, he has a huge repatoire and I was amazed at his song selection. You’ll hear everything from top 40 to obscurity and love it!
